This was the joke of the day for Feb 26, 2002 from

All through his youth, a young man professed his longing to become a
great writer.

When he was asked to define what he meant by great, he replied, "I want
to write stuff that the whole world will read. Things that will make
people react on a very emotional level. Things that will have them crying
and screaming in pain and anger."

He's now working for Microsoft writing error messages.
