[ale] Transparent xterm

Hi folks,

Does anyone know of an X terminal emulator a la xterm
or Eterm that provides a completely transparent background?
I've tried Eterm and Konsole, and they let the root window
show through the terminal window background. But I want to
see -everything- that's behind the terminal window. Basically,
I want a floating window frame with a floating command
prompt in it, that lets me see what's going on on the
desktop underneath. It sounds weird, I know, but it's
what I want. Any ideas?
