[ale] Samba and 2k Domain

Well, I am getting alot closer (just doing my research) to killing my 2k box
and making it Red Hat (ok, maybe not completely I need my vmware crutch).
However, I am a little scared of losing my shared drives on an 2k server, I
have read the docs and samba seems to support 2k, however, how painful is
samba to setup ?
