[ale] gentoo?

there is no gui front end (that I am aware of)...

it is strictly command-line.

emerge ... the source/package manager for gentoo right? does it have a front
end that comes recommended? or is emerge good as it is? i havent used it yet
(wanted to but install file was corrupt) anyways while i re download the
bugger i figured i would ask :)
