[ale] Wow: XFree86 4.3 preview

Just for kicks (and to see if it solved a video problem), I downloaded a
preview of XFree86 4.3 from Red Hat's Rawhide directory (packages are
XFree86-*4.2.99-*). They completely redid cursors - they're now not only in
color, but I'm also seeing both translucency and a drop shadow effect!
The cursors might not be all that big a deal (unless you're graphically
inclined like myself), but it would appear that server-level translucency
(as opposed to all those client-side hacks) has finally made it into
XFree86. Cool!
