[ale] DVD Burner under Linux

There have been some postings on the cdwrite list regarding cdrtools 
with DVD write support.  I didn't pay that much attention to it as at 
this time I prefer being married to purchasing a DVD writer for ~400....

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
