[ale] no permissions on hdb(cdrom)

Hello,

I have a strange problem. Everytime I reboot, I have to go in as root and
chmod a+r hdb(ie cdrom), so that any other user can listen to audio.
anybody have anythoughts on this? I have also had to do this with
/dev/audio.  Am I missing something stupid here?
