[ale] CVS and mirroring/backup info sought

ALErs -

I'm setting up a Linux-hosted CVS server in an environment where backups
are done by MsWin hosts. I want to control access to the CVS repository
and keep it in Linux disk space. It occurs to me that a daily mirroring
into Samba-shared or MsWin disk space (before the backup cycle) would be a
clean approach. Presumably this handles issues like access contention,
history preservation, etc.

Could someone please point me at some docs on mirroring CVS archives?
