[ale] balsa on Slack

I'm trying to build balsa from source on a slack box.

When I do a ./configure I get the following error:

configure: error: *** You enabled ESMTP but esmtp library is not found.

Whaa??? Umm.. I have no clue what this means. A pointer to the relevant fm
would be appreciated.
