There shouldn't really need to be any specialized software for this. 
You'll probably need to use the ide-scsi.o kernel module to run scsi
emulation for this device so something like cdrecord or gtoaster could
see it.  IIRC, RH 7.2 installation should find it and put the necessary
entries into /etc/modules.conf for you...

That particular model isnt in the list, but I would imagine it's not too
much different than the others.
