You'll make more money working for a corporation.  You'll be more 
satisified working for a University.  There's a lot more to it then 
that, but that's pretty much it in half a nutshell.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
