I found an inexpensive USB & Firewire card at Compusa.?? I'm not sure if drivers are required for the card or if the Kernel can detect the
ports.

Greetings !
I am looking to upgrade a system to use an SB Live! soundcard and be
Firewire capable.
What kernel first enabled these capabilities and how do I go about
installing these items ?
Thanks to all once again,
Courtney
