[ale] GNU parted

Has anyone used GNU parted?  I have a wincrap 98 partition I rarely use
(gaming and some finance stuff) with about 8 GB of  unused space.  My
freebsd and linux partitions on the same drive, however, are rapidly
filling up.  My intention is to use GNU parted to reallocate some of the
unused wincrap partition to the others, but I'm very wary of
repartitioning programs.

Could anyone pass on good/bad experiences?
