[ale] Weird install errors

A colleague of mine is trying to install RedHat 7.1 on a K6-2 200Mhz
with 32MB of ram and a 10GB hard drive. When doing the installation, he
consistently gets either a hard lockup or the installation crashes on a
signal 7. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so, how do we get
around it?.
