[ale] bios matter of war

i hate my ibm bios, its on a ibm thinkpad 760cd can i
just put any bios on it? like linux bios? or will it
matter? i mean its a laptop so i dunno if you have to
get diff bios for them for an odd reason or not.. i
never got into bios too much...
