[ale] RedHat LPD Stopped Loading

Hi everyone,

Today I upgraded some packages from the RedHat Network, and suddenly my
LP daemon will not start.  It appears that LPD is attempting to find a
symbol 'stat' in some shared library, but that symbol no longer
exists...or at least cannot be found anywhere.

My question is simply, has anyone else encountered this problem yet, and
if so were you able to solve it?
