[ale] new user friend

I have a friend in the San Diego area that wants to try linux. He has a 
limited hard drive space and I am tying to convince him that the easiest 
way for him to load linux is to simply contact the local LUG and get a 
disc. Can anyone point me in the direction of the San Diego Lug ?
