[ale] reset scsi bus

My %$# scanner keeps getting "lost". If I reboot it is found and
sane/gimp/xscanimage are happy. Rebooting is for windows. How do I reset
the scsi bus, make it reinitialize itself so it will find the scanner?

I'm not sure that is the problem. The tape drive and the hard drive on the
scsi card are just fine.
