[ale] Dell Inspiron 3800 and dual headed display

Hi,

I use Red Hat 7.0 on a Dell Inspiron 3800 with a 2.4.2 kernel, and Xfree86
4.0.2. I use my laptop while lecturing and need to have the LCD and a data
projector active at the same time.  Currently, I can activate only one at a
time.  I use the FN-F8 key on the Dell to switch displays. In Windows, I can
have both displays active.

Can you point me to documentation that explains how to configure Xfree86 to
enable both displays?
