[ale] killing print job / cups

OK, i feel like a newbie all over again.
with cups, how do you kill a print job.
i tried to oprint some stuff from gimp.  the first try was not bad, then i 
tried to tweek it a little.

now i'm getting sheets of ascii text.  
i can un-tweek the printer settings but how do i gracefully get rid of the 
print job.
