[ale] Intel 815E video

Hello.

I just bought an Intel D815EEA2 board, and loaded Mandrake 8.0. and 
RedHat 7.1.

Everything runs great, except in KDE, the titlebar, menus and toolbar 
backgrounds get filled with strange vertical bars when a second (child) 
window is opened.

This is true with kmail, konqueror, and everything else I've tried that 
has more than one window available.
The same programs work without a problem under Gnome.

I'm using the on-board video, which both Mandrake and RedHat 
recognize to be an Intel 815 with 16megs of memory. 
Can anyone suggest where to start?
