[ale] PCI Sound Card

I have a "generic" (sound-blaster compatible, I think) PCI Sound card
that I'm having a very tough time getting Linux to recognize.  I've
looked into the Sound-HOWTO, but I can't find anything that specifically
addresses PCI sound cards.  I tried using pnpdump anyway, and nothing
was recognized.  I try to load the sb.o module, but it requires a an
IRQ/IO port, which I don't know since it's PCI.

Any pointers appreciated.
