Winmodems (was RE: [ale] hmmm)

They do....at least the Lucent ones I'm sure of.  I used a Lucent Winmodem
in Mandrake 7.0  If you go to http://www.linmodems.org they have all sorts
of info in winmodems for linux (and particular chipsets).  Another great

I have a winmodem from Gateway that is the Telepath 56k which uses a Lucent
Chipset.  Finally got it working after compiling the binary....but it
worked.  Now I'm on cable and havent' redone it yet.
