: Is there a way can properly register SCSI devices if they are turned
: on after my system has completed booting?
I have had experimental success by unloading the SCSI module, then
reloading the module. In my experiments, I've always used the aic7xxx
driver; this particular driver rescans the bus each time it's loaded.
My tests were done with an AHA2940u2w and an HP SureStore DAT tape drive.
I'm not sure whether the SCSI standard was intended to support this
for all SCSI devices (electrically, or logically).
