Yes.
If you want to connect a linux box to more then one subnet
(for example as a router) I would recommend using one Ethernet card
per subnet. ( Not using a single card with multiple pseudo interfaces (eth0:1
..)
( some issues with the routing being done on an
interface and not pseudo-interface base if I recall correctly)
