[ale] Shutting off screen blanking

I have a machine I am using at my house for a firewall, it is a K5/166 MB
mounted in an old lunchbox case with a built-in B&W LCD monitor, and I am
running it in console mode.

What I would like to do (if possible) is turn off screen blanking
(a) because it is not necessary and (b) because it gets in the way.  Can
anyone tell me how to do this?

There seems to be no limit to how long Verizon can hold up delivery of
a competitor's DSL.
