[ale] Stupid SuSE tricks

Greetings one and all,
	I recently lost it with Microsoft and installed SuSE on my desktop at
work. Being the sysadmin I can get away with these sorts of things. I have been
real happy exept for two things
1) On shutdown, the filesystem won't unmount if it has been up for more than a
few minutes. the computer has a 20 GB drive, but it shouldn't take THAT long

2) Vmware, which  comes with SuSE, is pretty slow. From the glowing reviews I
have heard about it, I would expect it to be faster. Are there some
optimisations I need to make to VMare to get it to work faster?

One other question: Is there a repository for Wine (the emulator, not the
beverage) libraries on the web?
