Subject: FW: [ale] UNIX Training Classes
My manager has been placed in charge of the UNIX Technical Architecture
group. Unfortunately, he only has experience with WinNT and Mainframe stuff.
He has picked up UNIX pretty well, but he wants to get better at it. We are
about to hit a lull in work, and he would like to take a training class in
UNIX. He knows the basics(cd,ls,vi,chmod), but he has never done any
scripting or used any commands that don't map pretty closely to DOS
commands. Anyone have any recommendations for training centers where he can
take a good training class. He was looking for a ~2 day class. FWIW, we are
using HP-UX 11.0 and ksh.
Thanks,
Doug
