While attempting to compile Bash v2.0.4 from the source code available on
gnu, I get the following error message:
gcc -DPROGRAM='"bash"' -DCONF_HOSTTYPE='"i586"'
-DCONF_OSTYPE='"linux-gnulibc1"
' -DCONF_MACHTYPE='"i586-pc-linux-gnulibc1"' -DCONF_VENDOR='"pc"' -DSHELL
-DHAVE
_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I./include -I./lib -I/usr/local/include -g -O2 -o
mksigna
mes ./support/mksignames.c
./support/mksignames.c: In function `initialize_signames':
./support/mksignames.c:78: `_NSIG' undeclared (first use this function)
./support/mksignames.c:78: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
./support/mksignames.c:78: for each function it appears in.)
make: *** [mksignames] Error 1
System is a P166, 64M memory, Slackware v7.0.
Anyone have any hints?
TIA.
