Hello, 
I have an 87 325es that has 248K miles on it.?? It seems to 
have power but when I get the tach past 2.5 - 3K I get diminishing 
returns.?? It seems at that point that the engine has a lot of bark but not 
much bite.?? My mechanic stated that all seals on engine were leaking and 
the engine eventually needed to be rebuilt or replaced.?? Could this be the 
power issue??? It has been only 12K miles since I had an Inspection II on 
the car and there may be something that needs replacing that was not 
fixed.?? The main reason for the inspection was my emissions failure.?? 
I also had thermostat replaced and O2 sensor.?? I still failed the test but 
did have some improvement.?? Any suggestions?
