[ale] Install on Fresh Machine - Opinions?

Hello,

   I'm finally building my own box so my family
can have the old one. I want to put Win98 on it
to play some games (insert Boo's, Hiss's here).
Should I install Win98 first, then install Linux and
use Lilo to boot either? (This is what I've read
on the web, but I wanted to get some opinions
from the expers here).
   Currently I use System Commander, which is
just great, but I'd like to avoid the cost of buying
another copy if I can help it.
