[ale] Mandrake 7.2 install problem

I am having problem with Mandrake 7.2 installation.  The install goes
through the procedure and hangs when looking for packages to install.  I
have tried
various startup options, ie text only, and still happens.  When I flip over
to another console there is a message that says "lost interrupt" on the
screen that continually scrolls as though it is looking for something it
can't find.  Any suggestions?

BTW, RedHat 6.0 will install fine on the same machine.  RedHat 6.2 gives me
the same problems ...pj
