cd /your/directory
chmod -R ugo+rwx .
The "ugo+rwx" is basically equivalent to 777, w/o trashing any other
permissions that might be on the file (such as setuid).
This wouldn't happen to be the situation where someone needs read/write
access to website files, would it?
