[ale] IBM to toss AIX?

Dear friends.

While attending an HP training session the statement was made that IBM
intends to replace AIX w/LINUX across all platforms - PC's, mid-range
and even mainframe.  I have seen the mainframe statements in the press. 
Can any of you verify the mid-range - the RS-6000?  If you do have a
reputable source please let me know.  This mid-range replacement (if
true) will have some 
very significant ($$$) consequences for our company.
