[ale] Video question.

I have a IBM PC 300 GL.  It has a S3 trio 3d on board video chip.

What should I setup it up as when setting up X windows?  I have tried
different S3 cards, but none seem to work.  I have also set it as a VGA and it
will work fine.  Of course I would like to be able to use it to its fullest
potential.
