[ale] Menu font size

Hi everyone:

Is there any way to reduce the size of the fonts used for the application menus 
in Gnome? The menu fonts for apps like Netscape and gmc are too big. I am 
using a 14" monitor so they are taking up an inordinate amount of real estate.
