I was excited to hear this news. I just hope the community trims the fat on
this one. It seems to be a resource hog on my P400 system, yet WordPerfect
runs smooth. I would pound at the code but, not being fluent in anything
other then Perl would probably cause problems.

M$ BloatWare 97 & 2000 are now obsolete. Sun has acquired StarOffice
and is making it available for free. It will soon be open source and
cross-platform with Java APIs. Let's hope they succeed where Corel
failed.

Oh, and it can read/write MS Office file formats, too! Now we need a
"Burn All Office 97 CDs Day" in Redmond. :)~
