[ale] DoubleSpace driver?

We are currently running out of space on our DOS drive, and I am
considering using doublespace on it. My concern is that I need to be able
to have linux still read and write to it without problems. (No alpha or
beta drivers) Anyone know of how I can do this? Buying a larger disk is
not an option. Also, is there any way to compress an ext2 file system? (I
am not in need of it yet, but may be in the near future)
