[ale] Next Problem

I am trying to install PostgreSQL and when I run it says that it cannot
find cc.  How can I know if I installed the compiler??  Which RPM is it
in?  

I believe in order to conserve space in the custom install I may not
have installed it.  It that is the case after I install it will it
automatically update my ENV to include the reference???
