[ale] Should I buy a cheap 10/100 switch ?

My 100 MBit Hub just blew a few ports and I am thinking about replacing
it with a cheap 10/100 switch (100-200$).

Does anybody have experience with cheap switches ?
( delay because of store and forward, firmware crashes , lost packets ..)

This is for a small home network (5-8 devices).
I run some nfs spec benchmarks so full-duplex would be nice.

Should I buy a switch or rather get a new hub ?
