[ale] Parallel port

Hi everyone:

I am running Mandrake 6.1. I have an Iomega ZIP drive - the 
external parallel port edition (ZIP 100). My parallel port does 
not get detected during boot process. I get the "scsi hosts:0" 
message. I think the kernel in Mandrake 6.1 has support for 
the zip compiled in as modules. I have tried loading the ppa 
module, and get the "device or resource busy" message. I have 
tried everything suggested in the newsgroups, but have not 
been able to get my parallel port recognized. Can anyone 
please point me in the right direction ?
