I just recently got the Charter cable-modem service in Troup county,
just south of you. They cheerfully installed everything (cheeze-whiz
Ethernet card and some software, basically) in my old 486/100
(under Win95). (I then ripped everything out and put it in
my P75 Linux IPMASQ box, but that's a different story.)

In any case, I will say that Charter's customer service doesn't
hold a dim candle to Mindspring's. Hopefully Mindspring will
get their ADSL service going soon...
