[ale] Viper under X?

I checked the xfree86.org page, and I don't think I saw it listed, but is
the Diamond Viper 550 or 770 boards supported under X (2D)?  To what
extent?

Am I correct that Mesa support is still a little while off for nvidia, or 
am I looking at an old document??
