I asked this question a few weeks ago after struggling unsuccessfully to
get a cheapo SiS 6326 card to work well with XFree86. The consensus
(though not unamimous -- there were other recommendtations of which I do
not recall the details), was to go with the Matrox Millenium G200. It
worked right out of the box for me with both Redhat 5.2 / XFree86 3.3.3,
and Winders 98.
