Ah. So the original file must have been binary? If it contains a
^Z character, DOS's "type" command will interpret that as end-of-file,
I believe, even if there are hundreds of megabytes following. You
need a real binary "cat" utility. I haven't tried it but you might look
at
www.flash.net/~dtribble/programs.htm
There's a cat.exe there that may (or may not) do what you need.
