Yes. I had the same kind of problem with my 3com 3c509 card. I had to
disable PNP on the card, and set it manually before linux recognized the
card. The `problem' is the lack of PNP support in the kernel. I had the
same problem with my PNP sound card. PNP generally sucks, unless your on a
mac. (no flames please). Set your irq manually, and you should be good to go.
