[ale] 2 identical NICs in the same machine

There has to be a better way...

In order to get two identical NICs (other than MAC numbers) to work in the
same machine I had to:
-make a copy of the network module driver hp100.o called hp101.o
-alias eth1 as hp101 in /etc/conf.modules
-execute 'insmod /lib/..../net/hp101.o

This can't be the best way, but it is all I could get to work with the way
conf.modules is setup in RH.  Any better ideas?
