Here is a complete copy of whats in my .xsession file, works fine,
both when i boot in init level 5 (xdm) and when i run X from the command line
xset m 100/25
xsetroot -cursor_name left_ptr
xmodmap /root/.xmodmaprc
xhost +localhost
/usr/enlightenment/bin/enlightenment
