anyone know how to fix this:
hda: read_intr:status=0x59 {DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest Error}
hda: read_intr:error=-x40 {UncorrectableError}, LBAsect=7878181, sector=180230
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:00, sector 180230
Error reading block 90115 (Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in
short read) while reading inode and block bitmaps.
I am getting hundreds of them.
I have done everything I can think of short of low level formatting (which I
cannot do/figure out how to do) to get rid of these, I am getting hundreds of
them.
fsck cant fix them (thats the output above)
Its starting to irritate me, I even backuped up a clone of the machine
mkfsed the partition and restore it and I still get those damned errors. I can't
boot normally like this and its getting pretty bad.
I have had this since I had to stop short because a damned festiva cut me off
and the laptop hit the floor.
anyone got any ideas? If I have to lowlevel the thing to get rid of it, I am
going to send the laptop in to have the drive replaced under warranty after a
backup, this is not a happy thing. the last time I did this they didnt
reassemble the computer correctly and the keyboard still isn't attached
correctly.

Of course the void is nothinginess. By knowing things that exist,
you can know that which does not exist. That is the void.
