[ale] Linux Installation Problem

Hey,
I'm having this problem installing Linux Slackware3.6 onto a K6-2
300 mhz computer 64mb/8.4gig. I boot off the boot/root disks, setup my
Linux partition, mke2fs it, run setup, mount the seperate harddrive with
the slackware packages, and start to install. Everything works fine until
you tell it to start installation whether it be full/newbie/menu/or expert.
It will give me the message like 'There's a package not recognized by diska1
file' and it will go through every filename in the diska1 file.. like
aaa_base.tgz, bash.tgz.. all of them and for every disk. I'm at a loss and
I have no clue what to do. I have replaced the hardware components and
each time it does the same, but Windows runs great on it.

Please help,
Jarrod
